Learning a new skill is always so rewarding with a great sense of achievement.

For the half day class you will be able to learn the basics from weighing up your clay, wedging, centering and pulling up the walls of your pots and using tools to create some beautiful bowls or cups.
I will demonstrate the process to you and the rest of the time you will be on the wheel creating your masterpieces with lots of fun, help and guidance along the way.
We’ll have a break for tea/coffee and homemade cake half way through, or at the end depending on how we are getting on!
Your favourite pots (up to 3) will then be dried, bisque fired and then glazed with a colour of your choosing and fired again for you.

Collection is normally 4-5 weeks later, an email will be sent to you when they are ready. Please note that classes are currently for 2 people and in July this will go up to 3 as I have purchased a 3rd wheel. If you wish to share your experience with friends, you are very welcome just make sure you buy them a session each.

For the whole day class you will need to purchase the morning and afternoon sessions. Due to 5 week courses not all Thursdays will be available so please check carefully before booking. During the day you will be able to learn the basics from weighing up your clay, wedging, centering and pulling up the walls of your pots and using tools to create some beautiful bowls or cups. I will demonstrate the process to you and the rest of the time you will be on the wheel creating your masterpieces with lots of fun, help and guidance along the way. With the whole day session if the weather is kind to us, the early pots might be dry enough to add more decoration or handles, and learn a few more techniques to create some lovely artwork. We'll have breaks for tea/coffee and homemade cake and stop for lunch half way through- which is always a good time for a recap to continue creating for the afternoon. Please bring a packed lunch. You will then choose your favourite pots to keep (up to 7) which will then be dried, bisque fired and then glazed with a colour of your choosing and fired again for you.

Hand building Garden Ornaments Class. For the 3 hour Saturday morning class we will be creating garden ornaments for the flower bed. They will sit on metal poles and wave in the wind between your flowers. We will look at seed pods and pollen spores for inspiration on shape and design. You will spend the 3 hours creating them and I will glaze and fire them for you.

New date for this class is Saturday 2nd July 2022

The 5 week course is designed specifically to give you a greater insight into the fascinating world of pottery.

In this course you will learn all about the craft, create on the wheel and hand build some beautiful pots, bowls and plates.

There will be a maximum group of 6 so you get lots of 1 to 1 time with me throughout the course.

Each week you will get to have time on the wheel creating a variety of bowls or hand build impressed pots and a plate or tray. We will all take turns using the wheels.

On week 5 you will get to glaze the pieces you have made in weeks 1-3 and the later pieces I will glaze for you.
